Lancashire FA Cups

Hi Everyone,

I would like to take this opportunity to welcome you all to the start of the Lancashire FA County Cup Competition Season for 2018/19

Could I please start by asking that you let me know if you are now no longer part of your league so that I can remove you from my mailing list. I would also be grateful if you would be willing to forward on the below information to the relevant people.

LFA First Round Draw 2018

As County Appointments Officer for Lancashire FA, it delights me to say that we had a hugely successful year in ensuring that all of our county cup fixtures were refereed by a registered Lancashire FA match official. Once again, thank you for your commitment, help and support in making this happen.

Please see attached all of the dates for each rounds of our county cup competitions for the 2018/19 season. As with last year, the Senior Cup, Challenge Trophy, Amateur Shield, Amateur Cup, Professional Youth Cup, Under 21’s Cup and Women’s Challenge Cup will be appointed by myself until the final.
I have also attached the Competition Rules for both Adult and Youth Competitions

The remainder of the cup competitions will be appointed once again based off your nominations and feedback regarding the referees that operate on your leagues. This has shown to be extremely successful over the past 7 seasons and we hope that this will continue.

Of course, I will again keep you updated to the best of my ability by forwarding you the fixtures for nominations for each round of the competitions as soon as I receive them. From there, based on your nominations, I can appoint the officials to fixtures and upload them onto Full Time so that each referee will receive their individual appointments.

As was expected, last year there were a few hairy moments in terms of referees crying off games, something I am sure that you are all too familiar with in your respective roles. Unfortunately, many referees only submit closed dates to yourselves and not the County FA as well which is something that I am currently working on with the Referee Development Office in Lancashire. We are hopeful that we can educate referees to inform both yourselves and us of their closed dates so that we can reduce the overall work load on both sides.

Could I please ask that you assist us in this matter by informing all of the officials on your respective leagues that they need to submit closed dates to the County FA as well using the following email – closeddates@lancashirefa.com. With your help, I am sure that this way we will be able to ensure that the process runs much smoother which will make all of our lives a little bit easier.

Thank you for all your help and I will be in contact in the near future with more information. Should you wish to visit our county cup competitions page please use the following link - http://www.lancashirefa.com/cups. Here you will be able to find further information regarding individual competition rules, the dates of each competition and also last season’s cup finalists and match official appointments.

I look forward to working with you all again this season and should you have any questions then please do not hesitate to contact me
