Lancaster Football Marathon 2016

The Lancaster Football Marathon 2016, an event to support a national charity called Tackle Africa, and now in it's 5th year in Lancaster.

Tackle Africa is a great charity which delivers HIV education for schoolchildren across Africa through football training camps - more info here: http://tackleafrica.org/. The charity raises funds every year through it's summer football marathons in London (huge event with 64 teams), Jersey, Brighton and Lancaster.

The event format is a sponsored non-stop 12 hour football tournament from 8am to 8pm. It's a gruelling but fantastic day enjoyed by lots of local footballers aged 16+, all played in a great friendly spirit. More event info for you here:

Lancaster Tackle Africa 2016 Information

The Lancaster event is taking place this year on Saturday 16th July at the Boys Grammar School fields. This year we're hoping to grow from last year's 12 teams (squads of 8 playing 6 a-side), to 16 teams.
